SusTunTech was presented again as an example of digitalization and use of artificial intelligence in this second edition of the UaC online summer course. Dr. Fernandes, member of SusTunTech team, was invited by University of A Coruña to give a lecture on digitalization and artificial intelligence use in fisheries and marine studies in order to contribute to the formation of future multidisciplinary experts. Dr. Fernandes presented some of the most recent advances of the project to forecast good fishing grounds of tuna species while reducing the risk of bycatch of an endangered species and reducing the fuel consumption.
