SusTunTech at EXCELSIOR project meeting (5 April 2022)

Dr. Lohitzune Solabarrieta was invited to give a talk within the Virtual Invited Talks organized by the European ‘ERATOSTHENES: Excellence Research Centre for Earth Surveillance and Space-Based Monitoring of the Environment’ with the acronym: ‘EXCELSIOR’, Horizon 2020 project. The presentation addressed the topic of “Ocean monitoring using remote sensing platforms” and the different installations carried out by SusTunTech were presented as an incoming and promising technology to use for ocean monitoring. The work carried out in the SusTunTech to generate wave and currents data from raw radar images in coastal areas is calling the attention of coastal scientists, for it’s potential capabilities not only for safety but also for ocean monitoring.
