The ICES annual conference is a forum where scientist met policy and industry advisors to provide the latest science to their use. SusTunTech presented all the accomplishments in terms of vessels digitalization, fuel consumption forecasting as well as mitigation and adaptation to climate change with best fishing grounds forecasting and route optimization. The research demonstrates a win-win for industry (reduction of cost due to less fuel consumption) that reduces emission, but also the possibility of reducing bycatch risk at same time.
