Marina Santurtún, Sustainable Fisheries and Oceans Market Director of AZTI, has been invited panellist at the Fifteenth round of informal consultations of States Parties to the Agreement, focusing on the topic “Implementation of an ecosystem approach to fisheries management” (17 to 19 May 2022), New York, USA. Within her talk “Perspective on opportunities and challenges for strengthening the implementation of an ecosystem approach to fisheries Management”, Marina presented SusTunTech work on reducing effort to find fishing grounds while reducing bycatch risk.
