Our colleague Begoña Vila, from Marine Instruments, was on board last month on the Euskadi Alai, one of the vessels participating in the SusTunTech project. Among other things, she was testing some of the modules developed in the project with the collaboration of the skipper and collecting information about the vessel necessary for the tasks that are underway.

In particular, the route optimisation model for fishing was tested and data was collected to improve the tuna species distribution forecasting model. Information was also collected on the ADCP and the anemometer.
