During the Food 4 Future in Bilbao in June 2021 the SusTunTech team chaired a session about the digitalization and use of decision support systems of the fishing industries (Smart Fishing). During the Summit Jose A. Fernandes (AZTI), Carlos Groba (Marine Instruments) and Laura Marinello (Zephyr) explained the project as well as the advantages and challenges of the smart fishing transition to reduce the fuel consumption and time at sea.
Food 4 Future is one of the major World Summit to discover the latest innovations and trends that are driving the transformation of the food industry such as: 4.0 technologies, concern for healthy eating, sustainable and efficient food production, or the fight against climate change. F4FWS 2021 has closed its first edition in Bilbao with more than 340 international speakers and 183 hours of conferences, 197 exhibiting firms, 5.417 in person visitors from 22 different countries and 4.911 streaming connections from 29 different countries on all 5 continents.
The event was a precious opportunity to present the project to the food industry.
